First off, I'd like to thank everyone here at MasGrafx and others like OmegaSeven and Snyderart for providing us with all the things that have kept NR2003 alive and well over the past 4 years! thumbup.gif

Thought I'd start this for those (like me) that enjoy running the trucks as a place to hopefully find answers to who might be working on CTS items for 2007 and where to find them. I've created and posted here in the forums the 2007 CTS schedule for everyone to use. Link to 2007 Schedule!

I'll get the ball rolling-

I'm going to work on (as time allows w/ job, wife, and two little ones) '07 real-life truck schemes- on the '06 templates. I'm not the greatest painter in the world, but I'll start w/ the easiest schemes like the #6 for example. If someone has knows of someone or someplace that has, or is working on, '07 trucks please post here.
I haven't seen a whole lot in the way of updated templates- I'm guessing this is due to the nose change this season on all the trucks which would really require new models for the game. Tucknut has an '07 Silverado on the current body available by request at his site- that's about all I've seen.

I've PM'd Snyderart to email me his ratings spreadsheet to see if I can figure out how to do the ratings- can't get the file attachments on the forum to work right now. If I can get that going, we'll have some ratings for offline racing. I like to follow the real season w/ my own offline season.

The truck schemes will be done here just like in previous years. If that has changed, no one has told me. When will they be done? When they are ready.

In the abscence of Snyderart's great ai files, I've gone about my ratings in a different way that is simpler for me:
I come by a rating that I feel works for the field average, that I apply to all the cars in the field. These represent the guys that hover around the top 10 to top 20 and sets the average for the rest of the field. Then I pick out the drivers that moved towards the front during the race and I raise their top limit by 10 - 20 points and their lower limit to 25 points less than the upper.
Then I pick out the drivers that ran a perfect race, didn't make any mistakes and generally just stunk up the race, and give them near-perfect ratings and especially a high finishing rating. I'll finish up by picking out the guys who had problems, either mechanical breakdowns or wrecks, and bottom out their lower limit on ratings like chassis, aggression, reliability and finishing. Then I'll adjust pit crew ratings for the guys who made big moves on pit stops (or dumb arse decisions that cost the race). The whole process takes about 30 minutes to do a whole field, because everything is so general. So far the results have been favorable.

PbFoot,

Thanks for the credit, but I KNOW I'm not nearly as dedicated to NR2003 as the folks here at Masgrafx. I just plug away at it when time permits. I emailed the ratings sheet to you, but haven't gotten a reply. Did the file come through? Good luck with the 07' CTS!!!! Yell if you need anything.

PbFoot,

Check out my post above I added links to the truck's pages. If I find any more I'll add them in. If you find any send them my way. I'm looking hard for the 77 SouthPoint Chevy. So far no luck. Take care.

Here's the Excel spreadsheet for the 2006 CTS drivers. You'll have to go to www.racing-reference.info to get updated stats to plug into the spreadsheet. Enjoy!!!

Well, for what it's worth here is what I've got done on the #6 so far. Just having trouble figuring out what the 4 assoc. sponsor decals are in front of the rear wheels. I think one of them is Sherwin-Williams but I'm just not sure.
Credits- template, contengencies & number from MRD, logos BOTY, flames by me (my first attempt).

No they drive a bit differently. CTS has less horsepower and is more stable on track (easier to control). I have the most fun when driving the trucks compared to the other mods.

Yeah, I'd like to see one too. But I don't think we'll see it any time soon. The paint work that some guys have done on the new trucks is pretty nice. We just need to get some more made. I'm trying to paint the 77 Southpoint truck with Tucknut's Chevy template, but I stink at painting. So needless to say it's not going well. banghead.gif

For anyone that wants them, I have both 2006 and 2007 schemes of the number 59 Harris Trucking Toyotas for anyone that wants them. (all on 06 templates and they are only the flats, not the in game files)
